Lyter Double Speak

Not enough officers for funerals ... but let's cut part timers at the Airport and replace with 2 full time.

His own words!  Which is it Chief...no money for officers or money for full timers.

Why don't we just escort funerals for a few laps around the airport runways.  Plenty of folks there!

Pretty sure it says part timers are being cut because they participated in DROP. That's from city hall.

There were not any problems with shift management and the airport director was happy with staffing. Word is, there were no plans to cut the officers loose that soon but the chief & mayor were angry about them getting a lawyer to help them and now they have to pay overtime because it actually created a manpower shortage.

Ashton doesn't like it when employees contact lawyers although he seems to surround himself with lawyers against employees, business owners, and even residents on a daily basis. He has NEVER been pro-employee, pro-business owner, or pro-resident unless the employee, business owner, or resident supports his unethical behavior and corruption. Anyone who can't see these facts after 7 years of the same thing doesn't want to see it. If this motion is re-elected, Pensacola deserves what it gets!

Ashton is a rat who associates with other rats. Do not worry his days are numbered. All corruption comes to an end at some point ;)

All these Officers were told they had to work so many hours with the city each quarter in order to maintain their part time status. So they were told they had to work, and then fired for working? Are you kidding me? Its a simple fix. Per ordinance DROP participants CAN continue with services with the Mayors approval. A simple contract, with no city pay check. Private only. And he talks about liability. These are mature, experienced, professional Officers and Sgts, not some 22 year old rookie. Lame I say. The citizens should be outraged.
