The Glover Complaint

For your review!

  • Each INDIVIDUALLY AND in their official capacity
  • There is no way in the world these folks are getting out of VIDEO depositions
  • They are going to HANG Olson with his AM1620 interview
  • I find it somewhat funny that AM1620's PR role for the City will be what undoes the Dream Team of Olson, Hayward and Sisson
  • How does Judge Rodgers NOT recuse herself?
  • Love that my scribd account is cited in the Complaint!
  • PUNITIVE DAMAGES!

FINALLY!!! I was beginning to wonder if this day was ever going to come. Although it's going to ultimately cost the taxpayers a fortune, this needed to happen. Now Ashton and his cohorts will be exposed openly because I doubt if anyone will risk perjuring themselves. Of course, Hayward might be the lone exception believing that his daddy Bobby K. will be able to get him out of anything.

Hmm...This could get interesting. The city really changed the appeals process the same day they were suspended? Oops!

Love the Christmas present he gave to them

FINALLY! I was beginning to wonder if this day was going to come. Can't wait to hear the explanations...UNDER OATH THAT IS! Let's see who's willing to commit perjury to save Ashton's hyde.

1620 morning talking head, stated to me, that he could only ask soft ball questions Da Mayor and his staff, because he did not want to lose the weekly interview with Da Mayor if he ask any real and hard question. 1620 is a joke, they never investigate anything, and only report what they read off of some right wing christen news letter.

Should be epic. Anxious to see how many city employees will come forward and testify against Sisson. We shall now get to the truth of this fiasco.

Too bad he will be out of office by the time this gets to court and the records released. Of course a stipulation of the settlement the City will offer and pay through the nose to secure will be to seal all records forever. Sorry to bust the bubble, but we the people will never know the results of this other than the amount of the check we have to cover to get his a** out of trouble. Sisson and Olson will walk scott free when new mayor releases them. And their resumes will forever say they served Pensacola with distinction. Sorry folks, we lose again.

I remember listening to the Olson interview on AM 1620 in disbelief. At the time I thought to myself he just messed up big time. The Mayor's top assistant just publicly admitted that the city retaliated against the chiefs for filing EEOC complaints. Not a wise decision and likely a very costly one.

Bravo! I would not normally cheer someone on for filing a lawsuit. But in this case we witnessed two employees with many years of service to the city get publicly humiliated after having their due process removed. It was apparent that the decision was made to fire them before the investigation ever started. The investigator hired by the city was obviously instructed to find anything that could justify their terminations. The investigation was botched from the onset and careless mistakes were exposed thanks to Maren and Rick. Now I hope these men get justice and that those responsible for this mess get their clocks cleaned.

Agreed! But will the City continue to pay for his legal defense once he's gone? Not sure how it all works but I don't the know the taxpayers will be all that excited about paying legal fees for a former Mayor who caused this mess in the first place.

He won't need independent counsel for just himself. The City is the deep pocket here and will provide the defense. They defend the City, they defend them all in their "official" capacity. The settlement is the main expense although the legal fees will be significant. Of course the City Attorney will not tale the case because it is actual work. Outside attorneys get in line.

Maren, I hope that you will keep us up to date on Schmitt and Glover's cases. I have serious doubts that the PNJ or Channel 3 will report on this. Many of us are depending on you and Rick Outzen to keep us informed about what's going on because as you are well aware the "Transparency" page is a joke. Nothing will be posted that will taint the boy blunder's image. Thanks in advance.

I'd imagine that being deposed by the plaintiff's attorney under oath will be a little different than answering select questions asked by the city's independent investigator. It would also be interesting to see the investigator get subpoenaed. Not sure what the penalty is for perjury but it's probably pretty serious. Best of luck to the chiefs.

Seems like there is waaayyyyy more to this story than what's on the surface. Why name all of those individuals in the lawsuit as defendants? The judge's recusal is also very interesting. Maybe there's nothing to it but based on everything that came out last year I would bet dollars to donuts that there's some fire behind the smoke. I guess time will tell.
