PYP Poll Out...Hayward in the Toilet

http://pensacolayp.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/2016-Quality-of-Life-Survey-Report_Web.pdf

Mayor Ashton Hayward's approval rating dropped from 66% to 34%.

45% of those polled believe the City is going in the right direction...Down 25% from last year.

Wow!  For years, he has touted that poll as a bell weather on him.  I bet this stings.

Can't wait to hear his explanation with Andrew Tallman tomorrow.

More to come!

Ouch!!! That's gotta hurt. The good that will come of this, is that we will now see much less of Ashy. Guess the PYP is off the SOGO party invite list.

People Wake Up, Recall the Mayor...

Not surprised. Millions of our tax dollars wasted with nothing to show for it; hiring incompetence for top dollar; bonuses with no written justification; attacking citizens who submit public records requests; million dollar witch hunt against fire chiefs; multi-million dollar bullying of the Fish House; failed job creation; wasting prime waterfront with a stinky fish hatchery? He earned his low scores.

I AM IN TOTAL SHOCK!!!!! I'm shocked that there are 45 people, let alone 45% who believes the City is actually going in the right direction. Which proves that there are citizens who are utterly oblivious while others believe a ride on the Titanic really ain't so bad!!! Welcome to the Upside Downside of Florida!!!

PYP is a cheerleader organization consisting of the children of many of the local GOB.

How this loser has managed to remain in office and out of prison is a mystery to me. He has been a complete failure.

I believe the members of PYP are more in touch with what is happening in Pcola via the internet. (thank you Rick and Maren)
PYP Members may be snowflake children, but they work hard for their money and volunteer in the community.
I suspect when they see the salaries of incompetence of the 7th floor and the ongoing self- inflicted lawsuits, they see the truth.
The difference of PYP members is they have the Internet, aka Maren and Rick to stay informed, where as the older generations don't utilize the technology for the facts laid out so beautifully.
Thank you Rick and Maren for all of your research given to us.

Whenever I see the words "Pensacola Young Professionals" and "Quint Studer" in the same sentence my a$$ starts to twitch. The PYP is a subsidiary of the Studer propaganda machine and neither one has any credibility. Quint Studer has made millions of dollars by manipulating the truth, so why would anyone put much faith in any of the push-polls that he has funded?

Wow! Hayward's approval rating dropped 25% in 12 months! Or, could it be that the poll taken last year wasn't worth the paper it was printed on?

I agree with Anonymous 3:02 PM. How can 45% of the city's residents possibly still believe in this guy. Everything he touches turns to crap! None of the city's "enterprises" are making a profit? It appears that he's brought his failure in real estate to our local government.

Sadly, it appears that it doesn't matter how lousy of a job Hayward's done. Nobody will initiate the steps to get him out. So we are stuck watching this unfold knowing the eventual outcome.

I may not be great in math, but I do understand that questioning surveys is usually an intelligent move. I looked at the methodology on the report. It said that 800 people were randomly chosen from the Escambia County voting roll. (Mason-Dixon Polling & Research, Inc. located in Washington, D.C., conducted this survey from June 22-28,2016. Eight hundred (800) registered Escambia County voters were interviewed by telephone.)
EscambiaVotes.com shows TOTAL registered voters are 203,364. The sample accounts for 0.004 of the registered voters. Somebody check my math! If only 4 one thousandths of the population were surveyed, then one has to wonder what a larger sampling would have revealed.

Anonymous at 9:44 p.m. Believe it or not, you don't have to be a PYP member to have the internet. I'm 59 and have been using computer and the internet for many, many years. I believe that PYP members were snowed by Haywards age & his glib talk. He looked & sounded good but had no substance. He fired highly skilled and experienced staff and replaced them with incompetent people who would tell him what he wanted to hear. The good things that happened early on in his administration were the result of work done by staff long before he took office. Hayward is an unethical idiot & Pensacola residents were foolish enough to re-elect him.

Was this the same polling source used in previous polls?

Who knew things could get so bad in the "Upside" of Florida. I guess people are finally waking up to the fact that a pretty smile in photo ops just doesn't cut it.
(Best pic ever by the way Maren) Thanks for sharing ;-)
