Fire Chief Watch Day 2 Notes

As we wait on Mayor Hayward to "review the report", a few notes:

Pensacola may want to get comfortable if they are waiting for a decision on the Chiefs.  The PNJ reports: "He (Hayward) said he planned to read it with city attorney Lysia Bowling on Monday."

Who is going to read it? Mayor Hayward usually works with smaller words!

Can either of them understand what it says?   Em, um, ah, duh, oh, eh! There are some big thoughts in that room!  PNJ Article

Rick Outzen reported that Captain Transparency pulled down the infamous Olson and Wilkins AM1620 interviews.  It's sad when you claim transparency but pull down information off your transparency website!   Is Untransparent transparency like no action is action!

And then there is this...you can't unsay things, kinda like what WEAR reported on air a week ago based on your official press release! What does that say under the picture?

Stemmed From Federal Complaint.  OOPS!!

Outzen's article about the headless investigation is classic! Headless Investigation

    • Hayward publicly stated he has not been involved
    • Olson has stated that he and Sisson have not been involved
    • Wilkins takes every opportunity to tell everyone that he knows nothing. Sgt Shultz?
Looks like it will take some depos to see who has been drivin' the bus!
Hey Keith, we have a top crew at the city! Bobblehead, Mork, Jose, Potted Plant, James Bond and now you!

The Mayor issues a press release for Military Appreciation Month stating: We are surrounded by these men and women of integrity, discipline, and talent. This month, in honor of National Military Appreciation Month, we aspire to show our appreciation for the sacrifices and successes made by our service members - past and present. I encourage Pensacola to honor, remember, recognize and appreciate those who have served and those now serving.

I guess what he means is "I encourage Pensacola to honor, remember, recognize and appreciate those who have served and those now serving...except Joseph Glover and Matt Schmitt."

This is even MORE painful. Months of waiting and now he won't READ the report! Now we wait for bobblehead Lydia Bowling who can't string together one single coherent sentence to clear her schedule so that they can "read it together". Neither of them were interested enough to, say stay late on Friday or take a copy home to READ? Now, they will read and Mark my words, we'll be told he needs a legal opinion of what it says, before he can comprehend it. That will delay even further.

Interesting articles in the PNJ on this matter......NOT!!

Yes, even our asleep-at-the-wheel TV station awoke from a coma and actually reported on this story. Maybe they thought that Hayward is an Angel in Our Midst.

Let's pretend that Hayward never saw the report until Friday, even though we all know that it was delivered to city hall two weeks ago. Let's also pretend that VanSickle, after being paid $300 per hour for almost three months, never once sat down with his employer and briefed his employer on the contents of the report. That's right, VanSickle just emailed the report to the purchasing department along with his hefty invoice. If you can believe those fairy tales you most certainly can believe that our mayor and his attorney wannabe can't read and understand the report over the past three days.

Military Appreciation Month - Hayward Style

"Pensacola has a special connection to the military, and here in Northwest Florida, we are blessed to have a community of active, reserve, veteran and retired military service members."

TRANSLATION
Unfortunately Pensacola has a special connection to the military, and here in Northwest Florida, we are stuck with one reserve and one retired military service member who I need to get rid of.

"We are surrounded by these men and women of integrity, discipline, and talent."

TRANSLATION
We are surrounded by these men and women of integrity, discipline, and talent which disgusts me.

"This month, in honor of National Military Appreciation Month, we aspire to show our appreciation for the sacrifices and successes made by our service members - past and present."

TRANSLATION
This month, in honor of National Military Apprehension Month, we aspire to show our disparagement for the sacrifices and successes made by our service members - past and present

"I encourage Pensacola to honor, remember, recognize and appreciate those who have served and those now serving."

TRANSLATION
I encourage Pensacola to dishonor, attack, humiliate and embarrass the one who has served and the one who is now serving.

"After God and family, service to one’s country is one of the highest callings in our lives, and I have the greatest respect for the sacrifices which they and their families make."

TRANSLATION
After God and family, service to one's country is one of the many things I know nothing about, so I have no respect for the sacrifices which they and their families make.

"Our military men and women and their families do so much and sacrifice so much to take care of America."

TRANSLATION
Our two suspended military firemen and their families do so much but I can't seem to find anything on them.

"This is about doing everything we can do ' together ' to take care of them, not just this month but year round."

TRANSLATION
This is about doing everything we can do 'together' in collusion to get them, not just this month but but year round.

"On behalf of the City of Pensacola, and all of our citizens, I want to recognize and thank all of our current and past service members and their families."

TRANSLATION
On behalf of my incompetent staff, Beggs & Lane, and Bob Kerrigan, I want to terminate one of our current and one of our past service members and mortify their families.

"We appreciate your sacrifices more than we will ever be able to express."

TRANSLATION
We want to find a way to fire you more than we will ever be able to express.

"Thank you.
- Mayor Hayward"

TRANSLATION
(Insert expletive) you.
- Your Strong Mayor

Lysia
Not Lydia or Lisa.
Lysia

Now that her first name is perfectly clear, I want to know which attorney can be credited with "The public shall have access to the report after a course of action is decided upon and the affected employees, if any, are notified in writing pursuant to Florida Statutes 119.071 (2)(k)."

I highly doubt it was Lysia.
Then who?

Remarks to the Military Appreciation ... Isn't this the same administration that tried to fleece the United States Coast Guard when they needed to temporarily moor their barge tender at the port when the NAS Pensacola dock was being repaired? This same vessel provide a free floating haunted house to the city public during Halloween at the same Port of Pensacola berth.

Yes, and I believe Eric Olson was behind that as well. It wasn't the first time that he hurt the military either - as it turns out, he worked closely with a notorious Russian spy who seriously compromised US intelligence.

In all my years I have never seen anyone put on administrative leave because they filed an EEOC complaint and certainly not for three months. That admission by the city alone is the basis for a retaliation lawsuit which will likely be very costly.

Since VanSickle has completed his "report" and is now finished with his "investigation", shouldn't the Beggs & Lane invoice with billable hours be available in a public records request?

Meanwhile back in the city's highly paid legal department.

Lysia responds

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Wake me up when it's time to drive home.
