In Case You Missed It...Fire Station 3 in PNJ

Below is a link to an article from the PNJ regarding Fire Station 3 in the City of Pensacola.

For those that have followed my blog since the beginning, this is an issue that Mayor Hayward used to get me to endorse him for Mayor.  He promised repeatedly that a new station would be built upon him being elected.  These promises are documented.

Over the coming days, I will document all of the Lies, Deceptions and Inside deals that diverted City Local Option Sales Tax funds from Fire Station 3 to fund other political favors bestowed on supporters of the Mayor.

Mayor Ashton J. Hayward III has mistreated, cheated, lied too, swindled, put at risk and abused our Firefighters since the day he took office. Nothing has changed.

Maren, I don't know where you have been for the past 29 years. The LOST program in Pensacola has been severely abused for almost three decades, and is one of the biggest bait and switch scams to benefit the local GOB's. What Ashton Hayward is doing is the same thing that the previous administrations are doing. Actually, you were involved yourself.

In May of 2000, the City Council voted to use $3.6 million of LOST funds (your tax money)to purchase the Trillium property. While I was skeptical about the city council's ability to fulfill their promises, I crossed my fingers and supported the move. NONE of the original promises were fulfilled. The original $3.6 million ballooned to a $120 million burden for the city taxpayers, almost all of it for the benefit of a single person. Where's the indignation from you? Here's a glimpse of what happened.

So are you saying our firefighters have a greater chance at dying from mold than smoke inhalation?

(FFWD the media and attention span of Pensacola)

Hey look, there's food trucks at City Hall.
