The Pulse is weak! No new advertisers, dwindling content!

I checked in on Derek & Drew's excellent adventure known as the Pulse.  Well, it appears the Pulse is weak.

  • No new advertisers (just Buchanan's Pedicab business and another business run from the same building since Day 1)
  • Minimal posts
  • Minimal tweets
  • A lot of press releases
It's been a month.  Do we need to get the paddles ready?

You no longer need a Journalism Degree to be a news source on line. The "story tellers" don't need any more hits on their site of regurgitated Ricky's Blog and Pensacola News Urinal stories. Hits translate into possible ad sales. Let them die into their own obscurity. The attacks dogs of Asshat Wayward have used up 14 of their 15 minutes of small town fame. I say we should ignore the last gasp final minute as well.

If they bring back Dick's Blog I will be an avid reader.............!

...they have absolutely no idea that this is it as far as their political ventures are concerned. Notice the segway towards stories about Santa Rosa and Okaloosa County municipalities. It's a shame that investigations by the local sheriff's department puts you in the same unemployment line as G. Gordon Liddy.

To be quite honest, after having nearly two decades of formal journalism experience, it's nice to finally have a source of local information that is truly unbiased and void of policital agenda. Don't worry, we have plenty of blogs to balance that out.

We all know that the Downside of Florida Boys read your blog regularly. I created a name for the Mayor of Perception already, Asshat Wayward, but now we need names for Derrick and Drew so the next incarnation of Dick's Blog will have a complete list of proper names for it's creators as well.

How about a contest to come up with the best satirical blog names for the Downside Boys.

@Beej....Yeah I can smell that freshness from way over here. Smells just like Ol Stinky did when it was on Main Street.

"truly unbiased"..........??? Are we talking about the same Hayward gadflies Drew Buchanan and Derek Cosson?

"void of political agenda"..........??? What color is the sky on the planet where you live?

"two decades of formal journalism experience".......??? Really? That's kind of hard to do, isn't it, since you only graduated from Gulf Breeze H.S. in 1998? At least you got that high school diploma. Too bad you didn't get one from a college, though. Too much fun at the old SAE house, huh? At least you and Derek Cosson can claim the same credentials (none!).

"freelance entertainment writer for the Independent News".....? That kind of says it all, doesn't it?

"Unbiased"?????? You have got to be joking. Derek Cosson, former city staff member (hired with no qualifications/then fired), re-hired in a secret outside services contract (for the same pay/and then fired) is blinded by love and devotion to the Mayor to the point that he committed cyber stalking of the Mayor's critics and withheld public records from City Council members when he knew the information wasn't favorable to the Mayor. There is no doubt that the taxpayers are funding the Pulse through yet another outside services contract signed by the Mayor with no notice to Council.

Bring back Dick's Blog. It was brilliant.

@Anonymous...Dick's Blog at the most was stupid Middle School humor. Nothing brilliant about posting pictures of people with bow ties and the site owner using the names of Pac-Man characters to give the impression more than one other person was posting with the exception of buddy Drew's input. Dick's Blog belongs alongside the Blog it attempted to imitate, which is also a big joke, in the trash can.
