Updated: Viewpoint: CATFISH at 4am this Morning?

OK 1st of all I am CATFISH,and I never have been paid for doing nothing in my life. I am sure you all have a task they do daily that most of us would find absolutely ridiculous. Before speaking of someone you should do your homework and know the facts of what your are claiming. None of you have a clue as to what work is done on the 7th floor, other than what you read in a sore losers blog, listen to on a whiny needs to feel important old man's radio show or maybe read in an article fueled by a person who feels entitled and didn't get their way. Why don't each of you stop your bitching and grudge holding and look at the many positive things Mayor Hayward has done and continues to do for the City of Pensacola. Everyone on the 7th floor works hard at their jobs that pay to support their families. You all realize you are attacking people who are working instead of laying around bitching about a jobs they wouldn't Last a day in, all while praying the mail runs on time with their monthly check. Please again before Spewing your envious hatred towards someone doing the best for a City full of people not yet accustomed to the fact that positive change takes time and when done right will have ups and downs. No one here is a miracle worker and could do what Pensacola needs overnight. I understand most of the citizens in this city are the impatient type, always wanting better, but not willing to help, only complain. It's the same no matter where you go. Oh and just a little FYI to you haters, for every complaint that comes across the desk of that poor little girl who gets paid to do nothing, there are 4-5 positive ones praising our GREAT Mayor, THANKING HIM FOR WHAT HE'S DONE AND CONTINUES TO DO FOR THIS CITY. MAREN, GET A NEW HOBBY HOBBY, THIS ONE IS OLD AND TIRED. GO MAKE A NEW ENEMY AND BLOG ABOUT THAT. Change is almost always good!

What do we learn from the viewpoint above:

  1. CATFISH was either just going to bed or just getting up.
  2. CATFISH finds the daily summary "absolutely ridiculous".
  3. I'm a sore loser.  Did I lose something?
  4. I believe CATFISH takes a stab at Mr. Outzen.
  5. Who could CATFISH be talking about when he states "maybe read in an article fueled by a person who feels entitled and didn't get their way" Hmmm?
  6. CATFISH doesn't know that Eric Olson is lazy.  http://pensacolad3.blogspot.com/2015/05/the-city-adminstrator-in-his-own.html
  7. Overnight...CATFISH its been half of a freaking decade already.
  8. Are citizen's spewing? The people who pay your paycheck are spewing?
  9. Ashton is not an enemy.  He is our Mayor.  He works for me.
Eric Olson opened this barn door.  Now the receptionist feels empowered to lash out at Citizens.

Nice book report CATFISH.  You should include it on the 7th floor news summary.

Closing time, you don't have to go home but you can't stay here.

The more the Mayor and his staff speaks, the more stupid they look.

The Mayor needs to just resign. He is bringing shame to Pensacola.

Really!! said...

It's pretty obvious that the Minions at City Hall pay close attention to your blog Maren. Do you think they write book reports detailing the blog postings at your site as well? Perception is all that matters on the seventh floor so all their efforts are focused on attacking the bad press they receive and spinning it to enhance the Mayor's image. Maybe instead of jet-setting all over the country under the disguise of luring businesses to town the Mayor spend some time in his office sweating a couple of details on how he is going to fix all his incompetent missteps.

Her rant is clearly indicative of the hostility and venom that the seventh floor has for any and all citizens who aren't praising and complimenting the Mayor at every turn. Anyone who dares have expectations of honesty, integrity, transparency, ethics, or expects our tax dollars to be managed wisely and for the benefit of all citizens, is asking too much of this Mayor who repeatedly makes excuses about transition to the new Charter Government (it's been FIVE years now). Enough with the on the job training. Our city can't afford to keep losing more jobs, investment, new development and contracts because of this inept administration.

My paycheck is written by the same person that writes yours ms. paper reader and you could not do it. Shame on you for making your statement about waiting for the mail. Yes, city employees that don't work on the 7th floor are feed up with the hierachy too!

Wow...the wheels are coming off this cart!!

As they should!

Ed, we're gonna need another box...

oh dear. That was painful to read. Really not helping your case, Nicole. Do yourself and your Mayor a favor and write those thoughts down in a journal next time.

When I was younger Thursday night in Pensacola was always Ladies Night. That was the night the bars were packed with girls drinking on the house and guys chasing them with glee. Maybe Nicole decided to pin her reply upon returning home from a 3:00 AM closing time.

Disaster. Again, someone please save these people from themselves. When will this city be "big enough" to bring in a varsity PR team to train new city employees?

Anonymous said...

I really want to see the list of the "positive things" the mayor has done.

On another note this employee should no longer have a job...

Anonymous said...

...but she didn't even say what she does for her tax payer salary...Nicole???

Anonymous said...

She needs to be let go.

Anonymous said...

That is nothing but pathetic. Bless her heart. I can't believe she actually said "haters" what is she, 10 years old? No one says that anymore…. ridiculous.

Anonymous said...

It's true the ranting and raving is bad. But, it's the grammatical and punctuation errors that are more of a concern. Is that the caliber of people working in the Mayor's Office?

Anonymous said...

A city employee that thinks we are all on welfare and has a very low opinion of the tax payers.

I am tagging this rant and posting it all over the internet so her next employer can read her poor attitude towards others and grammar skills.

Good luck finding another job.

I keep reading your original article and no where in it did you say she got paid for doing nothing or anything remotely resembling an insult which would warrant such an explosion of pure hatred and venom. Does city hall not screen people or check for references? She and Olson seem to be mentally unstable. What on earth is she doing working as a receptionist? Receptionists are supposed to be the face of an organization ( pleasant, helpful, welcoming). She's unhinged, hysterical, and insulting to the very citizens who pay her salary. The caliber of employees hsnd-selected by the Mayor continues to be unqualifed and frankly sub-standard for the salaries paid.

And on today's episode of "As City Hall Implodes"......yet another member of the Mayor's staff attacks citizens. Don't worry.....Larry and Andy will run defense for her too so she'll keep her job and probably get promoted to Assistant City Administrator or speechwriter. Qualifications and education will be waived unless they want to lie and have us believe that Nicole has any writing, English, or grammar skills.

This is pitiful. The citizens of Pensacola pay her salary & she can't spell & punctuate. Totally inarticulate. Who decided she was a good hire?

Anonymous said...

Hahaha

She must be REALLY pretty!!! Eh mayor?

I was debating whether or not the person who wrote this comment is actually Nicole Lowery. Most city employees who comment on this blog do so anonymously, outside of city hours, and on their own computers. I find it hard to believe a city employee would be stupid enough to post such a disparaging, grammatically incorrect comment, use their real name, and leave it on a blog for all of Pensacola to see. No one working at the city would be that stupid.

Then I realized we're talking about the 7th floor of City Hall. The floor that has the highest concentrated area of stupidity. The actual book reports don't really sound like the same author who posted as Ms. Lowery, but without forensic evidence and a Mountain Dew I can't be sure. If indeed this Nicole Lowery person(who the hell is she anyway?) did write this comment in which she insults the citizens of Pensacola, calling them lazy welfare recipients, and haters hollaaa! I would hope she had her Big Ed $5 Box packed up and ready to go by yesterday at 5pm.

Dave's Top 10 List
10. The mayors first years in office in 2010, he wanted to do more with less. Cutting positions, forcing early retirement, firing employees. Fast forward to 2015. Look at the ballooning salaries on the 7th floor. How many fire, police, sanitation positions could've been filled with the money that is being spent on 7th floor employees and 7th floor interior decor, An?

9. City morale is at an all time low. People hide in their offices. New hires seem to get dumber by the dozen. "Nicole" heads up, the word "your" is the second person possessive adjective, used to describe something as belonging to you. Your is always followed by a noun or gerund i.e. "That is YOUR box, pick it up and get out". The word You’re is the contraction of "you are" and is often followed by the present participle, i.e. "You're a complete moron".

8.Confucius say "He who fuck Studer over have bad press".

7. City Council is worthless. You have no power, so why do you need an assistant making $100,000?

6.No one likes you Ashton, the smiles you see really say " I can't wait for this dumbass to be thrown in prison or packing up his shit when his term is over.

5. Eric, if you keep your mouth shut and your nose out of people's business you might keep your job till 2016.

4. City workers wish they were County workers.

3. Maren, thank you for being one nosey woman.

2. If Pensacola Florida is going to grow and compete with bigger cities, we need our leaders to lead in a way that is honest, transparent, and efficient. We need higher wages, more jobs, and less political red tape good ol boy bullshit. Make the playing field even. Give everyone a chance to make Pensacola a better place. Stop with the shady way of running Pensacola.

1. Mike Wiggins ya'll, Mike Wiggins ya'll. Yeah, I bet you wished now you voted for him afterall.

Kudos to the writer of the above post.

Actually, I voted for Hayward (the first time) as a means of getting rid of Mike Wiggins. So, no, I do not want to ever see him in office again. In 2005 Mike Wiggins and two city councilmen told me face to face that the CMP (aka baseball stadium) was going to pay for itself because of all the private commercial development that would come with it. Mike Wiggins was either corrupt, stupid, or both.

I will vote for whoever runs against the city hall incumbents including the mayor and city councilmen until that rat's nest is cleared out.

Mrs. DeWeese,
I would like to remain anonymous, but you can use the nickname "FUN in DisFUNction". Below is my response to Nicole LOWERY; I was inspired by Andy Marlette.

Marlette: Anything is possible on the Upside!
I have not received a pay raise in 8 years, but it does have its benefits because it keeps me safe from hitting a higher tax bracket. Oh, and the dynamic, ever changing policies by the rotating Chief Operations Officer keeps me mentally sharp. I can't say enough good things about being a city employee. They want me to succeed and constantly look out for me by heavily over assigning work to me so I can become a better employee. Sure, I haven't been good enough yet to get a raise, but they keep pushing me to succeed and I appreciate it. I know I'll get there one day. Some employees get frustrated, but not me. The shifting of personnel from the 7th floor to other departments that do not meet the job description criteria has helped out my creative side and I’ve made a game out of trying to get the same answer from them every week. It helps relieve stress. That's another reason I love being a city employee; keeping up morale in unexpected ways! The main reason I stay with the city is because they make me feel so valued. I know since the mayor was elected, all the people he hired into City Hall make higher salaries than those of us who've been loyal to the city for many years, but so what? With the stellar way they run this city, who can blame the mayor for wanting to hire them and paying them more than their peers? It just makes sense. Those long time city employees who were passed over in favor of the new people should be thankful they're in such experienced and capable hands. You can already see the city’s atmosphere of trust, integrity, loyalty, honesty and transparency flourishing now at Pensacola City Hall!

Amen! Stupid is as stupid does! Perhaps the city could offer a free English webinar class for her and the HR administrator!

Couldn't have said it better!

Hayward has destroyed the city workforce & has done serious damage to the community. Mike Wiggins would have been so much better. He would have surrounded himself with qualified, professional and ethical employees. Hayward has surrounded himself with unqualified, unprofessional & unethical employees. No one wants to work for the city now -- and why would they? A return to a council/manager form of government would be a huge improvement, but there's no going back now that we have a strong mayor. What a shame.

The truth is and was we did not really have a choice. Mayor Wiggins was a BOBBLE HEAD!!! Talk about someone WITHOUT EVER AN ORIGINAL IDEA. He would have been the ultimate puppet. The only issue here is we traded one set of GOB for another set of GOB. Wiggins would not have been an improvement over Zoolander. That is the sad truth.

PNJ has an article today with the title "City Hall: Thanks to citizens scrutiny". I read the little fluff piece. Blah blah blah,
Yadda Yadda Yadda. Seeing that their site links Facebook pages, I couldn't post but I wanted to comment on the story and say we have ONE citizen to thank for the lies of City Hall being exposed, and that one person is YOU, Maren. For the past 5 years you have been the only person who has been exposing the behind the scenes of this soap opera that is city hall. Your readers thank you for the time and money spent on uncovering the truth.
