Fountain Background

If you want to find out about Tamara Fountain's background the trail only runs through Navarre and Hayward confidant Ken Fountain then over to Tallahassee to her first marriage until 2002.

Leon County records tell some more of the story!
  • College dropout to get married in 1993
  • operated small company Bella Bella for a while
  • owned Countryside Homes of GA & FL Inc with her husband
  • as Countryside Homes was sued by the Thrifty Nickel for nonpayment
  • had Personal Federal Tax Liens
  • Sued over Wakulla Springs Acres Mobile Home Park
  • Went back to College in 2000 and dropped out again in 2002.
Folks, that's eight (8) years at FSU with no (zero) degrees.

It looks like excellent previous experience to run the Pensacola International Airport, Pensacola Energy and the Port of Pensacola.

It appears the City job is the first time Tamara has ever worked for someone she wasn't married to.

According to the PNJ, Hayward didn't even ask for a resume before he hired her and now she runs the City's enterprises.
  • Dan Flynn with a degree in your field, when you put together an FAA plan and Fountain says YOU are unqualified and SHE knows better and threatens your job, remember she has over 8 years of college experience (with little to show for it).
  • Don Suarez next time she tells you what to do, remember, Fountain ran several of her husbands businesses.
  • Amy Miller, the next time she asks about Deepflex paying vendors, forget your 22 years of experience in ports, she has been running from vendors since 1998.
Whew!

I would assume, but haven't bothered to prove, that Ken Fountain is the son of long-time Ft. Walton Beach real estate agent Betty Fountain. The Haywards and the Fountains probably have a history together.

When Castille was let go, Hayward just looked down the hall and yelled "Next." Why bother to read a resume? Hayward isn't going to remember what it says anyway.

This is par for the course in the Upside Down Side of Florida. No wonder city hall is so screwed up. Maren, can you please post Derrick Cosson's credentials? Thanks in advance!

Yes, Betty Fountain is Tamara's mother in law.
Tamara's husband went to the Fred Levin law school at UWF.
Tamara attended FSU the same time as Ashton Hayward.
Tamara worked on two campaigns for Judges in Okaloosa County.

Perhaps Tamara Fountain met Ashton at one of these "Fundraisers, or perhaps the introduction came from Levin as her husband was part of the first graduating class bearing his name.

From Facebook post, Occupy Pensacola:

The facts about Cosson:
Enter Derek Wayne Cosson, the mayor’s handpicked Public Information Officer.
Cosson was hired in August 2011. The 24-year-old had no college degree, no formal journalism experience, and no marketing or public relations experience. He had held two jobs since graduating from Woodham High School as Derek Stricklen—Walmart sales associate and Cox Communications customer care representative.
He ran for three years a blog, Progressive Pensacola, that focused on the city government. The coverage was first impartial but later the posts heavily supported Hayward who defeated Mayor Mike Wiggins in November 2010.
Cosson was hired without a background check and paid $54,995 a year to be the mayor’s mouthpiece.

Derek Cosson legally changed his name from Derek Wayne Stricklen.

You can't make this stuff up folks! What a mess we have on our hands. What do all of these people have in common besides a lack of qualifications? All of them are playing the race card! Ha...Not the answer y'all expected huh? Remember the old saying, "If you're white you're alright, if you're black get back!"

You have to admit the timing of these "Hate City Hall/Hate Ashton" PNJ stories is suspect. Don't get me wrong. I'm glad mainstream media is finally airing the dirty laundry over on the 7th floor that for years, only Maren would talk about. The PNJ wouldn't dare run a negative piece on Dashin' Ashton back in the day, he was the savior of Pensacola. Aunt Ginny made sure he was pictured with his halo. Fast Forward to, what I like to call, "The Summer of George"...no Aunt Ginny to run the paper, Half of the GOB reporters fired, millionaire "owns" local newspaper, politician and millionaire running through fields of daisies, millionaire cant build on city property, politician finally exposed for the farce that he is.

Karma's a bizznitch.

It's funny how this place works. Not that Fountain and Hayward and their minions don't have it coming...Maren's efforts at exposing the corruption among our City leaders have been largely ignored by the local media - despite a mountain of proof - right up until the point where they pissed off the wrong guy. Hell hath no fury like a Pensacola power-broker scorned, that's for sure.

Funny how Mrs. Fountain makes the qualifications for every city job ridiculously high and with low pay but for herself she requires no higher education and lacks degrees yet pays herself a hefty salary. She is getting exactly what she deserves. Finally exposing her for what she is NOT! Educated, experienced and moral. She and her cronies are nothing but a bunch of liars!!

The two uneducated idiots-Cosson and Fountain ruling the city!!! Hilarious! I am sure as usual nothing will be done about it but at least when they walk around town they can look down in shame knowing that everyone knows what undeserving idiots they really are!

Is Tamara Fountain using a PRIVATE SERVER?

Why wasn't the "correction email" allegedly sent to PNJ included with the record request?

It could only mean she is working off a PRIVATE SERVER.

What a great role model for her children. Did her parents set these standards.?Eight years at FSU? GEEZ.... Lies and more lies. The politicians in this town, ALL of them, are corrupt. Call the.DOJ.

What do we need to force a recall election and remove the Mayor and his incompetent and dishonest assistants Fountain, Olson, and Cosson? We must return Pensacola's credibility in order to attract jobs. Taxpayers can't afford anymore give-away jobs at $100,000+ for such idiots.

^^Anonymous is correct^^.It's re-election time!

^^Anonymous is right". What's the first step in recalling an election?

I work for City 8 years I make $11 a hour. Im not rich, I work a second job. I am thankful to have jobs. Most City employees are not rich, just try to survive like anyone else. In last 5 years, newer employees come in and make same as me. I dont complain cause I have job. We do not all make big bucks. Thank you.

It's very intriguing how the question of Tamara Fountain's qualifications seem to be dominating headlines (as it should be) yet it appears that the serious issue of institutional racism has taken a back seat. Maybe it's me but there were no public scrutiny or demands for interviews when just last week a lot of telling information came out shedding some serious doubt on the leadership at city hall. Evidence provided over the past 2 weeks indicates that Hayward may have failed to take appropriate action to denounce racist acts. Now people are talking about a lack of ethics, accountability, leadership, transparency, integrity, etc. It seems that suddenly everyone wants Ashton to be run off with Tamara Fountain and the rest of the "leadership team" fired. It's a sad commentary when bogus resumes and the lack of credentials trumps people dressing up like the Ku Klux Klan in the workplace. has anyone called the Mayor out on those issues? Or is Pensacola apathetic when it comes to "particular" civil rights issues? (Rhetorical question) This is yet another reminder of why this town is referred to as L.A. (Lower Alabama) I'm just sayin'!

I mistakingly put re election instead of recall. We need a recall election. It is clear that these people keep violating laws and are the poster children for unethical behavior.

I posted this on Ricks blog, but its fitting for Maren's as well.
Lets recap SOME of Ashton Hayward’s 20 solutions for Pensacola. 1. “Give local business the chance to compete & win City Contracts.”

2. “Make city information more readily available and easy to understand by including city budgets, ordinances, and other documents in clear everyday language”

3. “Cultivate a citizens first culture at City Hall”

4. “IMPLEMENT A CODE OF ETHICS FOR ALL CITY EMPLOYEES AND DEPARTMENT HEADS THAT SET STANDARDS FOR BEHAVIOR AND PROFESSIONALISM AND INSTITUTE STRICT TRANSPARENCY.

5. ” Find new ways to generate non tax revenue”

6. “Develop policies for using city owned property to recruit new businesses to Pensacola”.

I could go on but I’m too depressed.

FACT: Starting pay for firefighters in Milton, that's right folks Milton, FL, is higher than starting firefighter pay in Pensacola!!! In addition, Pensacola firefighters pay 11% of their salary towards retirement! I wonder how much the City Administrator in Milton makes? And oh by the way Pensacola, the $60K paid to Tamara Fountain over 6 months on her no bid contract could have paid the salary of 2 firefighters for an entire year! Let that sink in for a moment. That's the Upside Down Side for ya!

Seriously? Did everyone really believe that the past 5+ years has been anything more than a facade? It's been image over substance from day one. And please stop with the "we should've kept Al (I don't like black people either) Coby, or Rusty Wells, Dick Barker, etc. The house needed to be swept clean, but the aforementioned should have been replaced by competent professionals with integrity. Instead they were replaced with incompetent, inexperienced idiots who also lack integrity. Wake up people!!! THIS IS NOT NEWS!!! Now where are all of the Maren haters?

The question is will something actually be done or has Mrs. Fountain returned to her throne up on the 7th floor this Monday morning? Will be interesting to see!

Looks like another quitting is upon as as we all chime in to this blog.
