The Lumon May Traffic Stop Video

I like Lumon and LuTimothy May.
I consider them friends.
But the video I saw of the traffic stop was shocking.
Friendships aside, I saw two individuals with no respect for the officers, acting with open defiance and perceived immunity for their actions, attempt to dominate a situation which would have resulted in an arrest on any "other" citizens.

My questions:
  1. Will Mayor Ashton Hayward allow someone (LuTimothy) who is on his staff, paid by the City, to openly disobey a City of Pensacola law enforcement officer?  The officer on no less than 7 occasions demands LuTimothy move or leave the situation, yet he is so brazen in his defiance that he even comes up and puts his foot on the back of Lumon's truck.
  2. Can every regular citizen now demand a supervisor immediately after being stopped by any officer?
  3. Who are Lumon and LuTimothy on the phone with while all of this is going on?
  4. What will the body cams of the two officers that arrive later reflect?
  5. Would anyone but the May's be in jail for their actions?
  6. Will Sheriff David Morgan have any public statements besides the BLAB interview not being aired about the incident?
  7. I wonder if Lumon will play the video for all of the kids in Southern Youth Sports at the $3.6 Theopolis May Community Center which was built by the City for Southern Youth Sports exclusive use for $100 per year and tell them that's how you act when you are pulled over by the City of Pensacola police?
and a biggy

Will the "strong Mayor" Ashton Hayward:

a) come to the defense of HIS police officers and their actions and restraint and chastise the Mays for there actions?

b) be silent and stay the spineless-do-nothing-Mayor everyone thinks he is?

Lumon and LuTimothy, should I sit my kids down and show them your actions and say this is how you treat police officers?

How many citations were not issued that could have been?

LOoks like someone might get in some trouble over this $$$ moving around to churches. Anyway, I think the reason the one brother put his foot on the bumper is at that point the SGT was there and they knew the SGT. He put his foot up like that to show the officer who did the original stop that she was NO LONGER IN CONTROL and that the May boys were now IN CONTROL. And they were. Quickly the SGT told the officer that per LT no tickets. She asks what? Like she was shocked. The SGT tells her to take it up with the LT. which she calls on the radio as soon as she is pulling away and the tape stops. LISTEN CLOSELY. See how these things really work when you know people.

ANYONE (yes even white blue eyed devils) would have been tazed and arrested for resisting. Scenarios just like this end up with police officer being shot and killed by non-compliant irrational drivers. May should be ashamed.

The young officer was actually too nice and passive.

If a white commissioner had acted like this to a polite young black female officer he would have been kicked out of office.

"Southern Youth Sports at the $3.6 Theopolis May Community Center which was built by the City for Southern Youth Sports"

Are you telling us that the city gave 3.6 MILLION for this community center???

DISGRACEFUL!!!

Having LEO experience, I can tell you with 100% certainty that had that the only reason he was not arrested or ticketed was because he is Lumon May. Not only was he not mistreated, he was given VERY preferential treatment despite a number of traffic violations. I find it disgraceful that the Chief of Police and the mayor's office refuse to issue a statement saying that the officer acted properly and within the color of the law. Watch what happens now. Behind the scenes, Mayor Hayward, LuTimothy May, Lumon May and others are sitting around hatching a plan to make Lumon into some kind of hero by having him reach out to "bridge the gap" between the back community and law enforcement. Meanwhile, the officer is left hanging out to dry.

Exactly -- it is disgraceful that the Police Chief & Mayor have not issued a statement in support of the officer. I expected such deplorable behavior from the Mayor, but there is not excuse for the Chief.

City of Pensacola voters, YOU RE-ELECTED HAYWARD!

Now do you honestly think that the Chief of Police is going to criticize a sitting commissioner whom he will soon be working for? SERIOUSLY, I would not doubt one second that May's brother was calling the Chief with his foot on the bumper as he was asked to back up.

can someone officially ask the Mayor or the Chief of Police if May called him during this incident? Plane and simple yes or no?

Don't ask. They would lie. Request their phone records.
